PEI

We made it to PEI via the Confederation Bridge and what a delight!

The first night, we stayed at the lighthouse at Rocky Point.

As we were making out way to our friends cottage, we stayed a night at Cape Egmont. Another beautiful lighthouse, a beautiful cliff and beautiful rock formations.

We met our friends, Mona and Brian in Newfoundland on our 2017 trip. Their cottage at Mill River near Fortune Bay is lovely and has a wonderful view.

We arrived around noon and started our reunion with lunch at the Alberton Bakery. This is an amazing place frequented by many seniors. Everything is homemade and delicious. They even do all their dishes by hand. I can’t believe their prices! For example, a hamburger was $3.65!!!

We then took a drive to North Cape and walked the Black Marsh trail.

This is the Bake Apple we first learned about in Newfoundland but I was never able to get a picture until now.

Brian and Mona picked up fresh lobster, some potato salad and buns from the bakery for dinner. Need I say anything else??? OMG!! Yum!

All topped off by the sunset.

What will tomorrow bring?

  1. Love your pictures of North Cape and Mill River. Loved having you with us for a visit! My favourite pic is the one of Evan and I on the Blackmarsh Trail, oh and the sunset of Mill River! Xo
