We weren’t planning on going to Fogo Island but as we passed a sign, we thought “Why not?”.  So we pulled into a Visitor Centre and all the stars lined up so away we went.

We stayed at the Fogo Island Trailhead and went on the hike to the lookout.

Now, if I made Jacob’s Ladder sound like a feat, it does not hold a candle to this one.

Can you see the rows of steps in the picture? There were too many to count… I think there were a kajillion.

We caught the ferry the next day, after driving the whole island, and headed to Musgrave Harbour. Yup, it’s a harbour!
